Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san is a romantic comedy anime series that tells the story of a middle school student named Nishikata who is constantly teased by his classmate, Takagi. Despite his repeated attempts to get back at her, Takagi always seems to outsmart him. The series follows their daily interactions and the development of their relationship.
The anime is based on the manga of the same title written by Soichiro Yamamoto. The series was produced by Shin-Ei Animation and directed by Hiroaki Akagi. It premiered on January 8, 2018, and aired for 12 episodes.
The anime was well-received by audiences for its charming characters, relatable storyline, and tendency to tug at viewers' heartstrings.
